SILVIA FURMANOVICH

BIRDS MARQUETRY WOOD TRAY (16IN/41CM)

A few years ago, Silvia Furmanovich expanded her collection of wearable art to include home-design objects such as this small tray. She collaborates with craftspeople from across the globe, paying special attention to the skills and materials from her native Brazil - for example, her fine marquetry is carried out by an Amazonian tribe, while fallen wood and bark are often retrieved from forest floors.
