WOMEN'S WHITE / PURPLE STRAW TOQUILLA BAG PURPLE

In Ecuador there is a long tradition of Paja Toquilla weaving. The traditional weaving of Paja Toquilla is part of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity, recognised by Unesco in 2012. The straw is obtained in the coastal area in the provinces of Santa Elena and Manabí. This bag is woven by a group of craftswomen from the Ecuadorian coast. The supplier of the leather used has the qualification ‘Lwg Approved Trader’. The bag is unlined and closes with a leather strap. Paja Toquilla is a natural fibre that can be cleaned with a damp cloth. If it becomes deformed, lightly dampen with a spray and iron, protecting the basket with a white cotton cloth.
