Acquiring their name from the capital city of Eritrea, a country situated in the Horn of Africa where Luca Gnecchi Ruscone’s grandfather’s optical store resided; the Asmara sunglasses from are a contemporary reinvention of the classic aviator style. Sleekly structured in Italy from hand polished cellulose acetate, this pair are supported with flexible hinges to either side of their frame, presenting maximised comfort for the wearer, while the addition of an oleophobic and hydrophobic coating ensures this pair remain dust, dirt, oil, water and fingerprint free in the delight of the summer sun.
