These Giyaman dessert plates are shaped like chrysanthemums, the flower that features prominently throughout Japanese design from wallpaper to 50-yen coins. They're finished in an ‘urushi' lacquer for a striking glass-like appearance. The blue is a nod to traditional Japanese indigo dye, said to deepen in hue with each use.
