Natural Welo Opal gemstones have amazing pink, gold, green, purple flash. They are hand set into .925 Sterling Silver and hang from a Sterling Silver ball chain. Each stone is one of a kind and will vary slightly in size and color. Ethiopian opals originate from volcanic activity, and is called “hydrophane opal." The term hydrophane comes from the Greek term meaning “water-loving” and describes their ability to absorb water and change from opaque or semi-translucent to translucent or transparent.
