Black and red may come to mind when one thinks of a Comme des Garçons collection, but Rei Kawakubo ranks a third colour below her primary two hues: gold. The metallic, according to the designer, references the gilded ornamental approach of "Dubai, [the] Vatican and of teapots. " Here, Comme des Garçons Wallet cements that approach with an intricately embossed pouch in gold-tone leather, nodding to the flow of molten metal with each curved line and uneven geometric form.
