CERAMIC HOREZU PLATE

Horzeu ceramics are representative of Romania's rich artistic culture; each piece, like this hypnotic design from Cabana, is traditionally crafted in the northern part of Vâlcea County, reflecting generations of knowledge and craftsmanship. Once the clay is extracted from the earth, it's watered, kneaded and mixed into red pottery that is then fired and hand-painted using exquisitely pigmented dyes and designs.
