About Cindy Vener Cindy Vener's artwork is shaped by colors, shapes, texture and light from her surroundings. Having recently moved to central Florida from Virginia, where she lived for almost 40 years, she has found new inspiration for her paintings in the Florida landscape. She paints en plein air and in her studio, working in oil or acrylic, frequently using a palette knife. She began working with cold wax medium five years ago and found it to be a great vehicle for layering color, making marks, scratching through paint and revealing layers below to create texture in her abstracts.
