To slow down this process, remove your jewellery before swimming or bathing and keep it stored in a anti-tarnish box or airtight bag. To remove tarnish and make your silver shine again you can clean it in warm soapy water using a soft toothbrush and then dry it thoroughly before buffing with a high quality polishing cloth.
